It was en­thu­si­asm for skikjøring that pro­vided the im­pe­tus for the first of­fi­cial horse races in St Moritz in 1907. From the very start, the races on the frozen lake met with great ap­proval – and this fas­ci­na­tion has lasted for gen­er­a­tions. White Turf has evolved into an im­por­tant eques­trian sport­ing event and a so­cial high­light of the win­ter sea­son. What started off 111 years ago as a ma­jor pi­o­neer­ing achieve­ment and vi­sion­ary idea on the part of racing sport en­thu­si­asts to­day oc­cu­pies a sig­nif­i­cant place on the in­ter­na­tional racing cal­en­dar. The ac­tion takes places over three race Sun­days on Fe­bru­ary 4, 11 and
