Eat. drink. art
The hits keep coming at Fondazione Prada’s Milan compound, where the Rem Koolhaas-designed Torre restaurant has opened. The space combines works of art and design furniture to maximum effect; to wit, a fireplace is surrounded by Soviet armchairs and Eero Saarinen’s Tulip tables, while two works by Lucio Fontana frame the walls. Torre seats 84 guests on three levels, who can gaze at works by Jeff Koons, William Copley, Goshka Macuga and Carsten Höller, as well as artist plates created by Thomas Demand, Nathalie Djurberg,
John Baldessari and Mariko Mori. The menu blends Italian regional traditions with international cuisines, with acclaimed global chefs visiting throughout the year.
