ROCKING THE BOAT
Princess Yachts continues to shake up the industry with the unveiling of its new Y85 flagship model in the Princess Y class range
Following the hugely successful launch of Princess Yachts’ revolutionary R35, the 53- year- old British luxury yacht manufacturer has unveiled yet another cutting- edge model – the Y85, which is making her first appearance in Greater China in October. Part of the Princess Y Class range, the stylish and spacious flagship Y85 flybridge motor yacht has been designed to provide an unforgettable experience for everyone – especially those who are keen to relax and enjoy some quality time at sea this autumn.
Get ready to wine and dine to your heart’s content, because her spacious flybridge features include a large alfresco dining area, wet bar, barbecue and fridge. What’s more? The Y85 is extremely versatile, too. There are sunbeds with adjustable teak headrests and an aft-mounted hydraulic swim platform for those who plan to engage in watersport activities.
To unwind, guests can head to the bow, where there’s a U-shaped seating area and a large sunpad – the perfect spot to socialise and enjoy drinks with friends at sunset. The main deck also offers an enclosed galley, which can transform into a bar, and a standalone dining
table that can seat up to 10 people. Looking for a bit more privacy? The crew moves around discreetly via the side deck doors from the helm and galley areas.
Below deck, there are four en suite cabins, two crew cabins and a crew mess. Natural light floods in through the elongated windows in the master cabin during the day, which provide spectacular views at night. All guest cabins feature en suite bathrooms, UHD TVs and Naim audio systems.
Hand- built in Plymouth, England, the Y85 was conceived by Princess Design Studio and Olesinski, in close collaboration with acclaimed Italian design firm Pininfarina. Together, they’ve ultimately created a unique, elegant and simple look. Sure is good to be a princess, isn’t it?
