So much has happened in Hong Kong since the pandemic effectively shut our borders along with most others around the world. Attention has been directed back to our city, where a fresh crop of kids have helped spur a grassroots movement that’s focused on supporting homegrown talent. From style icons and Olympic athletes to environmental activists and YouTube stars making the leap to television, influence at home is bigger than ever before and we’re both excited and proud to be celebrating it
“I’m grateful to have a platform where I can inspire others to get the most out of life, eat better meals, and be more open-minded towards other cultures and cuisines, including educating them on my own Filipino culture”
JEN BALISI
“Influence is a power that everyone has, whether it be big or small. How we use that influence is a choice we have to make. The question we need to ask is if we want to spark inspiration and ideas that will make our society a better place”
KAYLA WONG
“Being an influencer means that my actions can impact others and lead them to certain circumstances. So I always keep an eye out for different creations and facts, but carefully filter the information that I share. Most important is to keep a sense of individuality”
MAGGIE STADELMANN
“It goes beyond showing them the latest in fashion and beauty, and means inspiring them in the fields of sustainability, female empowerment and supporting the next generation to realise their dreams”
