Pearls of wisdom
If you think there’s only one way to wear pearls, allow Carrie K. to change your mind. Over at the newly-opened Carrie K. Atelier at Funan is the Pearl Bar, where strings of pearls are taken from the traditional and predictable to customisable and contemporary. The brainchild of founder and owner, Carolyn Kay, the pearl bar carries modular clasps, chains, accessory pieces and a wide variety of pearl types to create an infinite number of styles for every pearl wearer. Carolyn was inspired by her own heirloom pearls passed down to her from her mother, when she realised strings of pearls were always worn the same way and that the style hadn’t been updated in eons. With Pearl Bar, strings of pearls become heirloom pieces that can be passed down for generations to come. carriekrocks.com
Painting the town red
The iconic 360LP WALK sneakers by Loro Piana take on a red spin for its limitededition collection specially designed for China, Hong Kong and Macau. Only available in these three locations, the sneakers have an added touch of red – a colour associated with prosperity in Chinese culture – that highlights the sleek style of the sneakers. Handcrafted in Italy, the lightweight 360LP WALK weighs just 360g, which pairs a supple technical sole with an upper knitted in Merino wool, a fibre with properties similar to that of cashmere. This gives the sneakers stretch and flexibility, while allowing for natural breathability when worn. us.loropiana.com/en
Dashing and debonair
The summer heat and almost insufferable humidity this near the equator will make most men want to throw out their stuffy blazers, but the SACCO man keeps things distinguished with SACCO’s Colori Di Napoli collection of tropical blazers. Made to wear in the sweltering heat, these blazers achieve class without sacrificing comfort with its completely unlined single layer of fabric. Although thin, the tropical blazer remains smartly pressed thanks to its hopsack cloth from Italy’s oldest mill, Vitale Barberis Canonico, which creates a breathable, wrinkle-resistant garment. This makes it ideal for heavy travel use and can be worn in a variety of climates. This collection of blazers comes in 12 vibrant colours to suit all occasions. saccoitaly.com

Making waves
Celebrated multimedia artist, Alex Israel, has collaborated with Louis Vuitton for a brand-new textile collection featuring the Los Angeles native’s trademark pop aesthetics in saturated colours. The eight-piece collection has scarves, shawls, blankets and a bandeau made in silk, wool and cashmere blends. The highlights of the collection are the Wave scarves, which have been produced using an innovative quilting technique. One side is padded to recreate Israel’s signature puffy texture found in his paintings, while the reverse is covered in Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram pattern. The square scarves are available in three sizes, with the largest doubling up as a cosy blanket. louisvuitton.com
