Celebrate the art of beautiful writing

Montblanc continues its celebration of ‘the art of beautiful writing’ with Calligraphy Edition, which pairs original nib innovations with rare artisanal craft in new versions of the Meisterstück. This time, in collaboration with the legendary Japanese textile producer Chiso Company Limited, it pays homage to the art of maki-e lacquer with the Limited Edition 88 Montblanc Meisterstück Maki-e Calligraphy Tribute to Kyoto Fine Craftsmanship. Chiso is renowned for its production of elaborate silk kimonos for the Imperial court. In this particular collaboration, Chiso artists have developed a special design that is articulated in maki-e lacquer. Each Limited Edition 88 Montblanc Meisterstück Maki-e Calligraphy Tribute to Kyoto Fine Craftsmanship is priced at about £36,000.
