LION ROCK, AT an altitude of 495 metres, is one of Hong Kong's most distinctive landmarks. An arduous hike of three-and-a-half to four hours rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of Kowloon and Hong Kong Island on a clear day. I'm certainly glad I did this – even though the next day my legs ached in places I didn't know muscles existed.
