There never has to be a special occasion to have a good steak. Spoiled for choice with amazing steak options in Manila, I’ve only been able to find a handful in London that measures up. Goodman is one of them. With locations in Mayfair, Canary Wharf, and the City, Goodman’s chefs have strong relationsh­ips with farmers in the UK and US to ensure that only the most premium meat is served to its guests. Meat is dry-aged on-site and cooked in charcoal ovens with wood from sustainabl­e sources to give their steaks a smoky flavor. The surf-and-turf combo I usually go for is the lobster bisque in tarragon and lobster crème Fraiche and the 150-day corn-fed USDA Angus rib-eye with a Stilton sauce.
