during this time. The shiny new car, brand new clothes, and the latest handbag has suddenly has lost all its meaning.

What use do we do have of all these material goods if we are sick? As the Book of Ecclesiastes says in the Bible, “All of it is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

Lastly, this time has shown the humanity of our weakness and vulnerability. We have to look up to a higher power and ask for His guidance and mercy. After all, in desperate times like this, faith is the only thing that we can hold on to.

Our message to all the frontliners out there fighting the virus is that we salute your bravery and sacrificial love. To be able to put your own life at risk for strangers you don’t know is the ultimate calling and a testament to the professionalism and integrity of those in the medical field.

We are filled with pride to be called doctors because of you, your actions—our colleagues. We are doing everything we can to equip them with personal protection equipment, face masks, and shields!

After this is over, we believe the world will not be the same again. We will not take for granted the sanctity of life, nor will we forsake our time with our children, parents and loved ones.

Things on earth are so temporary and our focus should be piling up treasures in heaven rather than accumulating things on earth.

There will be a broader and deeper perspective on life and hopefully, we will be able to be kinder to each other after seeing how vulnerable and temporary our lives are on earth. I pray that we will heal as people and make the world a nicer place.

This whole experience is teaching all of us the virtues of kindness, compassion and being selfless. I think there is too much hatred, anger, selfishness, arrogance in the world, and hopefully, this experience will change the mindset of humanity.
