It can be very easy to dismiss the team up of Edward Barber and Maymay Entrata as just another byproduct of the well-oiled mega-machine of showbiz. If you look at things from a jaded point-of-view, you will nitpick on how seemingly formulaic it appears to be: two former reality TV hopefuls, one lass raised in the hustle of the province, and the other, a citizen of the world who has grown up in a straight-laced Germany, come together in a prescribed onscreen pairing that is intended to throw the pop culture-consuming public into a fit of fandom frenzy. But despite all that, the vibrant and full of life love team of Maymay and Edward, or MayWard as they are called as a singular, is at its very essence, a once-in-a-lifetime pairing that is perhaps orchestrated by the universe itself.

Taking everything into consideration, their tandem has stirred a consciousness within their adoring public. If anything, it has not only generated a slew of stories, endorsement deals, TV appearances and movie outings, but it has made even the most icy and jaded believe in the throes of young love—even if it is just something we see onscreen, for now. Edward Barber and Maymay Entrata complement each other, making their partnership not only special, but stable as well. Where one is a firecracker, the other is meek soul who is slowly breaking out with the same amount of spirit as well. This is why the MayWard pair tickles the fancy of practically everyone, it is real and aspirational. At its core, they are a pair working together to make their dreams, both on their own and together, a reality.

There is much promise to the two as a love team, and as it stands, they’ve already sealed their fate as a force to be reckoned with.
