RICHARD MILLE RM 07-01 LADIES AUTOMATIC

Richard Mille is famed for making some of the most advanced mechanical watches for men. But when it comes to designing for the ladies, the Swiss watchmaker doesn’t hold back either. The gem-set RM 07-01 is a case in point. By marrying diamonds with carbon TPT, a first in the industry, the brand is keen to show that women are fascinated as much by technology as by beauty. Gem setting is a tricky task — and all the more so when the material is extremely hard, scratch-resistant carbon TPT. To overcome this challenge, Richard Mille developed special tools and techniques, including many hours of hand work to secure the diamonds on to the case. Every component of the watch subscribes to rigorous specifications. The result is a brilliant and beautiful diamond-encrusted timepiece, which is driven by an in-house automatic movement that’s assembled on a baseplate and bridges made from grade 5 titanium, and which provides 50 hours of power. The rubber strap adds to the stylishness of this extraordinary timepiece.
