RICHARD MILLE RM 67-01 AUTOMATIC EXTRA FLAT
They say great things comes in small packages and this is certainly true with the RM 67-01 Automatic Extra Flat, which combines a tonneau-shaped case with an extra-flat form. It’s also an impressive technical achievement, as each case is the product of more than 215 separate machining operations. Several additional work hours are thus required compared with the case construction of other watches in the Richard Mille collection. Only 7.75mm high, this sleek watch is powered by a skeletonised automatic movement just 3.6mm thick. It displays hours, minutes and the date and has a function indicator with a 50-hour power reserve. The back of the movement reveals a high degree of skeletonisation that’s visible on the barrel, the rotor, the gear train and the bridges of the automatic-winding mechanism. The indices are made of metal and mounted on two linked and rigid titanium rails attached directly to the movement. Each index has been filled with Luminova for better readability in the dark, which is a first for Richard Mille.
