When this Omega Speedmaster 2915-1 sold for 2.3 million Swedish krona at Bukowskis auction house in Sweden this October, it broke the world record for the most expensive watch of its kind, and also became the most expensive watch ever to be sold by Bukowskis, ushering in a new era of enthusiasm for the classic Speedmaster. This particular first-generation Speedy, from 1958, became so lusted after due to its excellent condition (it was found in a box in an attic, and had been unpolished and unworn for decades), and of course for the original calibre 321 movement within.
