AUDEMARS PIGUET
Fresh from the memory of its fantastic Art Basel Hong Kong party at Zuma, Audemars Piguet staged a night to remember as it took over Kai Tak Cruise Terminal in the lead-up to the HK$20 million 19th Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Cup – which itself took place at Sha Tin Racecourse on April 30 – for a gala dinner.
The terminal was converted into a sensational venue in a flurry of smoke and mirrors, horse and watch projections, light and music. Speeches were mercifully brief, and the star turnout (a heady concoction of celebrity and society, including Taiwanese actor Nicky Wu) was great. With live music on makeshift stages (that’s right, multiple stages!), a singer who swung the pendulum from pop to opera, fine-food stations, cigars, bars and more besides, the event easily makes our list of this year’s best parties.
