A Lange & Söhne

A new coffee- table book celebrates the history of German manufacture A Lange & Söhne. Presented in April at an event at the brand’s Hong Kong boutique attended by German consul- general in Hong Kong Dieter Lamlé and a host of Lange aficionados, A Lange & Söhne is the work of watch connoisseur Noel Wong, a former TV and newspaper journalist and war correspondent who is also the former managing director of A Lange & Söhne Asia Pacific. Wong visited the brand’s German headquarters extensively to research the book, in which he examines the brand’s success in the light of Chinese philosophy, and highlights its achievements in both watchmaking and social responsibility. At the launch event Wong spoke about his experiences writing the book, accompanied by a video shot at the company’s headquarters.
