2.3 million Swiss francs ( HK$ 18m)

-

A one- of- a- kind Patek Philippe watch made more than 2 million Swiss francs, also in support of the Children Action Foundation. A titanium version of the Calatrava Pilot Travel Time ref 5524 was put up for sale in October, by Christie’s in Geneva. The model, first launched in 2015, was designed, as the name suggests, for travellers and aviators, and features a second time zone linked to the date display. The new piece, made especially for the auction, has a black dial with a hand- applied satin finish, and the words “Children Action 2018” engraved on the caseback. Children Action provides hands- on assistance to youngsters across the world, addressing issues such as suicide, as well as providing support for those with diseases such as cancer.
