A powerful striker for the French national team and clubs around Europe, footballer Djibril Cissé is also an actor, writer and musician who has his own clothing brand. Unsurprisingly, with those cosmopolitan tastes, he’s also a collector of Corum timepieces, and his habit of posting photos of the brand’s watches on social media gave Corum CEO Jérôme Biard the idea of working with him. The result is the Corum Bubble 52 Djibril Cissé. The Bubble was chosen as the basis for the piece because Cissé already has one in his collection, but this version has been given a daring makeover, with a striking skull design dominating the dial. To make the skull as fierce as possible, the watch is free of hands, replaced by an off- centre hour display featuring two red circles on the flange.
