Journalists and retailers may cringe at the amount of work ahead of them, with Baselworld now following Watches & Wonders so closely, but at least it saves everyone trekking to Switzerland twice, right? This year marks the fi rst stage of a three- year transformation that aims to make the show more experiential as opposed to a conventional trade fair. The word of the week is “new” and can be applied to the booth designs, exhibitor fees, show areas, digital platforms, events ( both onsite and offsite) and hospitality programmes.
