Van Cleef & Arpels

Among its latest collections of lavishly bejewelled and decorated timepieces, the Parisian house of Van Cleef & Arpels has created this Aida & Radamès secret watch in white and rose gold, which refers to an ancient Egyptian love story between a commander and a princess. The jewels and precious metals, which include a cushion- cut Madagascan pink sapphire of 5.93 carats, as well as sapphires, diamonds, turquoise and lapis lazuli, have been arranged to represent the waters of the Nile and the sands of the Sahara; indeed, the only aspect of this piece that isn’t utterly fabulous is its quartz movement.
