Some 20 years after the original unveiling of the J12 watch, Chanel marked the release of its newly revamped version with a cocktail reception at Beijing’s Yushe Entertainment Space. With a subtle makeover on the outside – including a one- piece ceramic case with case- back crystal by Arnaud Chataing and an impressive new COSC- certi ed automatic Calibre 12.1 with 70- hour power reserve designed especially for it by the Swiss Kenissi manufacture – the new J12 is an impressive piece of kit indeed. No wonder, then, that a host of celebrities and enthusiasts turned out to welcome the arrival of this new timepiece. Among them were model Liu Wen, actors William Chan, Hu Yitian and Darren Wang, actresses Jelly Lin and Xin Zhilei, and cellist- actress Nana Ou- Yang.
