What? Tom Ford presented his first-ever men’s runway show – for autumn/winter 2018 – at Park Avenue Armory in New York City, where he debuted the highly anticipated Tom Ford 001 watch as well as an underwear collection.

About face: While the menswear was as polished and sleek as could be expected from such an esteemed designer, the premiere of the Tom Ford 001 watch was keenly observed by purveyors of fashion and horology. The unisex collection of Swiss-made timepieces features a range of case and strap styles, across two sizes. Brief encounter: The audience of more than 700 also eyed up the men’s underwear collection as models sauntered down the catwalk in flesh-toned and animal-print inner garments – which included T-shirts and tanks as well as “core” items. Young guns: The celebrity turnout in the audience for the designer and film director was stellar.
