What? Louis Vuitton opened its first women’s pop-up in Hong Kong showcasing the autumn/winter 2018 collection with a champagne reception at the Landmark Atrium. The usual suspects: Oh, how the fashionistas came strutting out in the stormy night, with wind, rain, hail and gale unable to prevent the wellheeled from attending and checking out the leather goods, fashion accessories, and some very cool shoes and sneakers. It was a touch of déjà vu for one or two VVIPs, who’d already seen the collection at the Cour Lefuel within the Louvre earlier this year. A capsule collection of ready-to-wear featuring the “monogram trunk” motif seemed to be the occasion’s star attraction.
