Kaws, Untitled, 2014 This minimalist acrylic on canvas is part of the Brooklyn-based artist’s 2014 series, Man’s Best Friend, featuring characters from the Peanuts comic-strip series. Part of Snoopy is seen here, with the artist’s signature “X”-marked eyes. It sold for US$200,000.
Cindy Sherman, Untitled #201, 1989 Sold within estimates at US$187,500, this chromogenic print in the artist’s frame reinterprets Old Master portraiture in a modern context.
