Italian style hits the slopes with Neve, a new ski-wear and accessories collection from Giorgio Armani

JUST IN TIME for your first of what we hope will be many ski holidays this winter, Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani has launched a complete line of clothing and accessories for the mountains and beyond. Neve includes everything from boots and helmets to cargo pants and cashmere sweaters for both men and women. The heritage-inspired collection embodies the elegance and refinement for which the brand is known, while offering the latest in technical fabrics and attention to detail. A particular highlight is the use of “cashmere flakes”, a luxurious replacement for down that’s soft, lightweight and long-lasting. Silhouettes, meanwhile, are reminiscent of the ’90s, when the range was first introduced, and come in a colour palette dominated by navy, white and red. In addition to velvet ski suits, men can choose from an array of après-ski styles, including water-repellent jackets lined with shearling or padded with cashmere flakes. More cosy textures are used in the cashmere zip-up sweaters, comfortable cargo pants and crewnecks in thick wool or soft chenille. Women can also enjoy a selection of velvet ski suits as well as wool and cashmere turtleneck sweaters, fitted trousers and a bold fuchsia overcoat with brushed sheepskin collar padded with cashmere flakes. Men and women alike can complete the look with matching hats, headbands, gloves and other essential winter accessories. So whether your style is more black diamond, bunny slope or cocktails in the lodge, at least your wardrobe will be on piste.
