In a tribute to Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s favourite colour, red, and just in time for the holidays, the luxury maison presents a limited run of 55 numbered and hand-engraved crystal flacons of Chanel Nº5 parfum. Each piece is made using the Baccarat “Rouge À L’Or” technique, which gradually fuses clear crystal and 24k gold powder at precisely 540 degrees celsius. It’s then filled with 900 millilitres of parfum, capped with a faceted cabochon and placed in a white lambskin case. The cost to own one of only 55 Nº5 Grand Extraits? HK$235,000.
