Cool kit to covet

Often regarded as the benchmark among super-sports motorcycles, BMW’s S1000 RR has just become wilder still — and yet, at the same time, even more exquisitely civilised. Its newly developed straight-four engine produces more than 200bhp, it’s more than 10kg lighter than its predecessor and its new Flex-Frame suspension promises exemplary handling. It goes without saying that acceleration is blistering, and with a top speed in the region of 300km/h this hot new two-wheel Beemer is fast. Very fast indeed.
