Openworking is, as they say, a thing, so Corum has subjected its Admiral collection — in this case, the new AC-One 45 Openwork Automatic Tourbillon (HK$495,000) — to the full skeletonising treatment. Made from Grade 5 titanium, the watch not only puts the severe beauty of its mechanicals in the spotlight but also its tourbillon, which is prominently displayed at 6 o’clock. As with other pieces in the Admiral series, it comes in a distinctive dodecagonal-shape case and features hour markers that resemble nautical pennants.
