As if the on-board facilities weren’t already top flight, privileged passengers travelling long-haul in Cathay Pacific’s newly upgraded First Class cabin are settling into a world of comfort that extends far beyond the delights of a full-length bed to stretch out in, superb international cuisine to feast on and fine wines to sip on.

Thanks to a holistic approach to the entire inflight experience, the journey begins with a warm welcome and a chilled sparkling tea by JING, while once under way, the new First Class menus feature international dishes specially devised with wellness in mind, which are made from wholesome or protein-focussed ingredients. Meanwhile, luxurious new amenity kits for men and women are packed with premium organic products by British beauty brand Bamford.

Once those wide seats have been fully reclined, a turndown service swathes them with a plump mattress-topper and 600-thread-count linens — and all passengers settle down for a good night’s sleep in a stylish suit in 100-percent organic cotton by Hong Kong brand PYE. To help make sky-high slumbering more heavenly still, there’s even a pillow menu, not to mention a warm and calming bedtime brew, also by JING.

Of course, some passengers may need to stay in touch with terra firma while high above the clouds. To that end, everyone in First Class receives a pass entitling them to unlimited Gogo WiFi access throughout the flight.

New breakfast options, including a superfood bowl of nuts and berries, complete the experience — and provide a final touch to ensure all passengers step from the aircraft as fresh as if they’d just climbed out of their bed at home.
