A NEW BEGINNING
If you’re heading to Copenhagen, be sure to visit Cartier’s first boutique located on the city’s famous Strøget (Østergade). Opened in December, it’s a place where Parisian elegance and Danish design merge. Mixing modernity and tradition, some oak walls hide a digital iconography, while graphic fabrics contrast with bronze tones and white walls. The stairs at the centre of the boutique are a piece of art as they seem to be floating in the open ceiling area. Danish Oak handrails and light limestone are the ultimate reference to simplicity and elegance; another highlight is a panel in lacquered wood depicting a panther, which Cartier commissioned from Parisian lacquer specialist Atelier Midavaine in 2019 for the new store.
