ALL HAIL THE QUEEN
There are a few things you’ll learn about Queenie Rosita Law when you hang out with her long enough. For one, she’s no pushover – and you wouldn’t expect anyone who’s singlehandedly built a museum in Budapest to be – but she’s also an extremely great sport. Although she’s usually dressed more demurely and portrayed in professional settings, we wanted to portray her more dynamically and daringly, and she happily agreed, bending over backwards (quite literally in the photoshoot) for us to capture a side of her that’s rarely seen. On set, Law’s warm and affable, engaging and having fun with the team as we give her increasingly challenging poses and stances. She’s also a straight shooter, speaking frankly about the highs and lows of building her company, Q Art Group, but is more reserved when it comes to talking about matters at home. She’s an absolute visionary in today’s art scene, so we’re absolutely honoured to have Law on the cover of our annual art issue this month.
