SERPENTINE LEGACY
Bulgari’s ‘Serpentiform’ Exhibition opens at Artscience Museum
Bulgari honours its iconic Serpenti muse with a show of its own. Curated by Lucia Boscaini, Bulgari Brand and Heritage Curator, and first unveiled in Rome, the ‘Serpentiform – Snake Through Art, Jewellery And Design’ exhibition explores a myriad of creative inspirations, and examines how the snake has been a compelling inspiration in modern and contemporary art, design, fashion, decorative arts, and photography. Landing in Singapore with over 150 exhibits that capture Bulgari’s multifaceted inspiration, the exhibition is held at the lotus-inspired Artscience Museum in Marina Bay Sands. Precious antiquities from East and West highlight the different symbolic meanings of the snakes in various myths and legends, while a 70m installation, featuring 500 video mapped scales and floating Serpenti creations, runs along the wall. Jean-christophe Babin, Bulgari CEO, expressed his delight at having the “new edition of Serpentiform hosted in the prestigious and iconic Artscience Museum.” Hollywood actress and Bulgari ambassador Alicia Vikander graced the opening event. The show ends on October 15.
