Jewelmer Joail­lerie cel­e­brates Philip­pine’s artis­tic icons

Jewelmer Joail­lerie was show­cased as one of “Philip­pine’s fore­most icons” at the in­au­gu­ra­tion of new Philip­pine am­bas­sador, Jose C. Lau­rel V, held at the Philip­pine Em­bassy in Tokyo in June. The event was cel­e­brated in con­junc­tion with Philip­pine’s In­de­pen­dence Day and was at­tended by celebrity guests in­clud­ing Miss Uni­verse Philip­pines 2016, Max­ine Me­d­ina. The for­mer beauty queen graced the fash­ion show helmed by Rajo Lau­rel, a Manila-based fash­ion de­signer. Me­d­ina led the cat­walk wear­ing Jewelmer’s iconic head­piece com­pris­ing a clus­ter of Golden South Sea pearls, which she first worn at the Miss Uni­verse 2016 pageant. The event marked the first time in 53 years since 1964 where a cul­tural fash­ion show was put to­gether at the Philip­pine Em­bassy in Ja­pan to cel­e­brate the coun­try’s artis­tic achieve­ments.
