Parrel-pimentel is partial to ladylike luxe. “Before I even noticed that prints and patterns were back in season, I have already conceptualised in mind a collection that will integrate different prints and patterns on different types of fabrics that run in the shades of beige and black,” she says. She made her evening-glam collection more textured with the use of brocade, linen, silk gazar, glittered lace mesh, stretch tulle, and spandex.

“What makes this collection more important is that I used special Philippine fabrics like the abaca-cocoon blend and the Mindanao Silk,” Parrel-pimentel shares. “My collection proudly shows that the Philippine’s local indigenous materials can blend into any kind of fabric that can create glamorous evening pieces.”
