FABIO SALINI
From studying geology and gemmology at the University of Rome, to working in the creative departments of Cartier and Bvlgari, and later creating jewels under his own namesake brand, Fabio Salini’s driving force has always been jewellery.
Having showcased his fine jewellery creations at prominent galleries such as FD gallery in New York, Petochi in Rome, and also at International art and jewellery fairs, Fabio is an authority in jewellery. When asked about his design strategy, he says: “I am an anti-brand, my choice of being independent is reflected in my creativity, which is absolutely versatile.”
Fabio’s artistic approach to design revolves around beautiful gemstones and his unconventional combinations, contrasts, and juxtapositions, expressing his desire to innovate and build a bridge between tradition and futurism.
One of the most notable materials used in his jewellery is the carbon fibre, adding a new dimension to the world of fine jewellery. As Fabio states, “Through my creations, I would like jewellery to be considered an expression of contemporary art.” This is probably among the reasons for his global popularity among the elite.
“The most important reward for me is to see my creations on sophisticated and difficult-toreach clients, who chose to wear my jewellery over those from other important Maisons or designers.”
