Keeping her brand very design conscious, Leyla produces thought-provoking and flamboyant jewellery. “It is an extension of my inner aesthetic with a modern, surrealist twist,” shares the designer. “A wide array of colours is also a big identifier of my works and brings my dramatic styles to life.”
The Trinity collection, the latest from the brand, is very edgy in terms of design and use of colour, yet very sophisticated and elegant in style. “Technically, it was very challenging to produce with geometricshaped stones that are specifically being cut in that shape to further enhance the design. Using geometric stones in contrast with fluid forms, plus adding playful tassel fringe around rings helped set a new trend in world of fine jewellery.” The squareshaped collar necklace, introduced by Leyla, has been appreciated globally and has become the brand’s signature style.
Looking at launching a more accessible range of jewellery, Leyla wishes for her design aesthetics to reach a much wider audience. Revealing a bit about her future plans, she says: “In addition, I will be collaborating with a number of very talented artists, which I am very excited about. More shall be announced in due course.”
