Intricate, one-of-a-kind jewels, each packed with enchanting narrative and transformable aspect, are what define the creations of Simone Jewels in Singapore.
“Each collection is derived from a story that becomes our creative inspiration,” reveals Executive Creative Director of the brand, Simone Ng. “Stories and history are an important part of the brand’s DNA, and our customers, too, love these stories because they are able to share them when they wear each jewel.”
Her new collection, Bombshell is inspired by the creators of WIFI and tells the story of invention, music, and the hidden gem. Similarly, the Birds in Poetry collection is inspired by stanzas from the great poets, and is composed of abstract bird forms and fine gemstones that are combined to create ‘wearable works of art’.
Simone says her love affair with jewellery started when she was about 12 years old, but “I soon discovered an absence of jewels that I wanted to wear, so I decided to create my own.”
She heads the design team, creating pieces from stories that inspire her: each is handdrawn and then hand-made in individual components that are created into a unique piece.” She says distinctive gemstones are an important part of each piece, and, over the years, she has developed a strong supply chain for ethically sourced gemstones. “For the future, we hope to expand collaborations and build the brand to be the best in Asia in its class and quality,” says Simone.
