VICTOR MAYER
Victor Mayer’s passion for fine jewellery and his impeccable craftsmanship have been the embodiment of the brand’s design philosophy for more than a century now — he founded his namesake brand in 1890 in Pforzheim, Germany. Today, managed by his fourth-generation descendants, the brand continues to create exquisite jewellery collections, following its founder’s legacy.
“We did stick to the roots and the legacy of Victor Mayer. Our focus on traditional workmanship differentiates us from other brands, adding a real value in the perception of the connoisseur,” shares Dr Marcus Oliver Mohr, greatgreat-grandson of Victor Mayer, and now the brand’s creative director.
With specialty in enamelling and engraving, Victor Mayer often faces a lot of technical challenges. “Only a team of experts can cope with these challenges,” shares Marcus. “Our designers and craftsmen work closely together to come up with a perfect result.”
However, for one of its special collections, Circles, Victor Mayer foregoes the use of fire enamel and guilloche in the design. Instead it uses hand-selected gemstones arranged in a homogenous concentric pattern to convey the glamour and vibrancy of the 1920’s Art Déco era.
Sensual, luxurious, and opulent, Victor Mayer’s creations exude a casual elegance. “Our jewellery is reminiscent of European style and German perfection,” adds Marcus.
