Mikimoto celebrates its flagship store reopening with a grand ocean-themed extravaganza
A spectacular ocean-themed soiree was held on 16 August at the Marina Bay Sands for the reopening of Mikimoto’s boutique, which is now housed in a bigger and more premium location.
The event was hosted by TV personality Bobby Tonelli, who donned androgynous Black South Sea Pearls from the Japanese brand, while entertainment was provided by renowned musicians like flutist Rit Xu and violinists Joelle He and David Loke. Mikimoto’s Director & Senior Vice President of the Sales & Marketing Division ( Japan), Yasuhiko Hashimoto, was on hand to entertain the evening’s VIP guests, along with Amanda Wu, Executive Director of Mikimoto Singapore and Hazel ChanBradshaw, Vice President, Retail of Marina Bay Sands.
Aside from touring the new boutique, guests were also ushered down to ‘The Ocean’, which saw Basement 2 transform into a sea-themed space. Here, dance performances took place, as well as a contemporary showcase that depicted Mikimoto pearls, and a catwalk presentation that highlighted Mikimoto’s high jewellery collection.
