Working with Gemfields, jewellery designer Shachee Shah has come up with a collection highlighting rubies, emeralds and delicate designs

Since 2008, Indian designer Shachee Shah has been creating beautiful pieces in her own unique way, drawing from a wide range of inspirations from weaving and embroidery to flora and fauna, the changing colours of the sky, and “all that nature has to offer”.
Her signature style for Shachee Fine Jewellery spins 18k gold to give it the appearance of lace and uses micro- mosaic techniques. Shah’s Indian heritage is a strong influence in her work – all her designs bear the hallmarks of the country’s fine craftsmanship techniques.
The ring and mosaic earrings Shah designed for Paris Couture were inspired by Japanese Sakura, or cherry blossom, using 18k gold, diamonds and Gemfields Mozambican rubies cut to spheres.
The pieces ripple with life, conveying the “sweetness of nectar and romancing with the blooms”, and the rubies’ deep red and pink tones and shimmering sense of transparency create the lush carpet effect of cherry blossoms in springtime.
The earrings are vintage art deco in feel, with a modern twist – like wearable pieces of art. Chapter of forest earrings & ring were inspired by the lush green forests and Shachee’s journey to the mountains. Emeralds add an enchanting touch with their green hues capturing the essence of nature’s beauty.
