Dear Solitaire Reader,
Ifirst met Anna Gong, founder and CEO of Saas company, Perx Technologies, some six years ago when we invited her to complete the Tech Issue lineup in our flagship publication Portfolio. She was still somewhat new to town and was travelling a lot – still does! – that getting her to our studio to sit down for a couple of hours proved to be a real challenge. But we definitely wanted her – the rising tech star – so we waited patiently until she texted us to say she could make the morning shoot.
What a difference those six years have made. Anna is now a bona fide tech star who divides her time between Singapore and Florida; Perx has crossed 500 billion API calls and has completed a strategic shift from a B2C model – one that admittedly struggled to make dent beyond the Singapore market – to a global B2B enterprise software business, as she described it. “It is among the pivotal milestones in Perx’s journey,” she would tell us when we met again at Etro Home Interiors for her cover pictorial.
“The transformation was not just a change in our business model,” she said, “but a complete redevelopment of our technology, market focus, redesigning and hiring a new talent pool, and company vision. Navigating this pivot required a deep understanding of enterprise needs, adaptability, and a commitment to innovation.”
The transition has not only diversified the Perx client base, she explained, but has also established Perx as a key player in the enterprise Saas space. “It reflects our ability to evolve and thrive in a dynamic market environment.”
The story of successful women, particularly those who evolve and thrive in male-dominated spaces, is one that we like to run in Solitaire as an affirmation of their strength, courage, and intelligence.
Anna’s journey is inspiring not only for the victories she has accumulated for her company, but for all that she has learned and now shares with other women.
