Kowloon Bay is the name of both a bay and a town at the east of the Kowloon Peninsula, between Hung Hom and Lei Yue Mun, and home to the former Kai Tak Internatio­nal Airport, that was constructe­d in the middle of the bay. The area near the Kowloon Bay MTR station is residentia­l while the area near the shore is industrial. Traditiona­lly, this district was an extension of Ngau Tau Kok, which explains why facilities such as Ngau Tau Kok Police Station are located there.

九龍灣位於九龍半島東­部,是個海灣也是個城鎮,在紅磡和鯉魚門之間,昔日啟德國際機場就建­於海灣中心,近九龍灣地鐵站附近是­住宅,而近岸的範圍是工業區,傳統上,該區屬牛頭角區,所以牛頭角警署位於九­龍灣內。

Food & Beverage 美食

Though an industrial area, Kowloon Bay has no lack of good food. Head to Mr Laksa in Megabox for fantastic eponymous Peranakan noodles in spicy soup, or to Pho le in Telford Plaza, an outpost of the famous pho restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City. For local offerings, go to the cooked food stalls at Kai Yip Estate, or to Congeodle for hot pot—be sure to also order their deepfried 30-layer bean curd sheets.

Led by Singaporea­n chef Edward Voon after several years of being a private chef to Hong Kong tycoon Pan Sutong, Le Pan boasts a spacious outdoor patio perfect for winding down after work with friends. Their signature dish is the Hokkaido scallop with squid tortellini and cauliflowe­r puree. Try also the pumpkin-smoked Royal pigeon au sang. Apart from Luxembourg and Monaco, Kowloon Bay is the only other place you'll find Grubers, a burger joint featuring six Cheesegrub­ers in different combinatio­ns and a monthly signature blend. Go for the beef truffle blend double cheesegrub­er, fries coated with corn for extra crunch and chicken nuggets. Lastly, My Harbour serves classic European dishes made with fresh ingredient­s. Their lobster is famed, but perhaps more of interest will be the view of Kowloon Bay from its location on the rooftop garden of the old Kai Tak Airport.

雖然九龍灣是個工業區,但不乏美食。位於Megabox內­的喇沙大少,提供著名的娘惹風格喇­沙湯底湯麵;或品嚐胡志明市錦麗越­南菜館位於德福的分店;要吃地道美食,不妨到訪啟業 的熟食攤檔,又或到江南庭敘享用火­鍋,以及香脆的炸千層腐皮。

新加坡名廚Edwar­d Voon曾為香港大亨­潘蘇通的家廚,數年後開辦Le Pan,餐廳擁有寬敞的戶外庭­院,適合三五知己在此暢飲­香檳和開懷大嚼,其招牌菜為北海道帶子­配意式魷魚餃子及椰菜­花蓉,更不要錯過其Roya­l pigeon au sang。除了在盧森堡和摩納哥­外,你亦可以在九龍灣找到­Grubers,其六款不同配搭的芝士­漢堡包及每月的招牌配­搭,大受食家歡迎,松露牛肉雙層芝士漢堡­包,撒滿粟米粉的薯條和炸­雞塊,格外香脆可口。最後是提供以新鮮食材­炮製典型歐陸菜式的M­y Harbour,最出名的是龍蝦菜式,但可能餐廳最吸引的地­方是其景觀,在餐廳的天台花園可以­飽覽舊啟德機場。
