THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE MOVING INTO TSUEN WAN

-

Waterfront odour

Despite the panoramic views of the Rambler Channel, the waterfront promenade has a bad odour due to the discharge of wastewater from nearby ageing buildings into the stormwater drains. This odour issue has persisted for some time.

Proposed tube housing

The flyover spaces off of the Cable TV Tower have been suggested to be set aside for transitional housing for the needy. Once approved by the Tsuen Wan District Council, micro homes in pipes will be available for use late this year or next.

Inadequate parking space

Every weekend Tsuen Wan sees a long queue of cars waiting for parking outside its malls. With more estates ready for use around Tsuen Wan West, the demand for parking space will only be even more of a challenge.

School net

Tsuen Wan belongs to Primary School Net 62, which includes Hong Kong Baptist Convention Primary School, Kwai Ming Wu Memorial School of The Precious Blood, and Tsuen Wan Public Ho Chuen Yiu Memorial Primary School. Its Secondary School Net belongs to the Tsuen Wan district, with Tsuen Wan Government Secondary School, Po On Commercial Association Wong Siu Ching Secondary School and Ho Fung College. The international school in the vicinity is Harrow International School Hong Kong in So Kwun Wat, Tuen Mun.
