3 Get moving

There is no lack of public facilities in Ma On Shan. The Ma On Shan Sports Centre is situated in a swatch of green near the waterfront, with various ball courts, table tennis rooms, a fitness room, a dance studio and other facilities. Ma On Shan Swimming Pool is right next door, boasting three leisure pools with distinctive mushroomshaped fountains, as well as four outdoor water slides. The tallest at nine metres is said to be the fastest water slide in Hong Kong; the little ones will love it. The public library also sits in the vicinity, a curvy building of 24,000 square feet which houses more than 150,000 tomes, with a coffee corner and a students' study room.
