噪音擾民

自將軍澳藍田隧道（將藍隧道）於2016年展開工程後，住在地盤附近的居民不斷被打樁工程的噪音滋擾。除噪音問題外，施工的躉船不時排放黑煙，造成空氣及海水污染。

校網

小學屬48校網，有天主教佑華小學、藍田循道衛理小學、聖公會德田李兆強小學等；中學屬觀塘區，有藍田聖保祿中學、梁式芝書院及五邑司徒浩中學等；國際學校方面，於2014年創立的香港諾德安達國際學校位於藍田安田街，附近地區域則有將軍澳的思貝禮國際學校及九龍灣的啟歷學校。

Noise nuisance

Since the start of the Tseung Kwan O—lam Tin Tunnel (TKO-LTT) project in 2016, residences along construction sites have suffered the most from irritating noises as a result of the ongoing works. In addition, smoke emission from barge vessels pollutes the air and sea in the area.

Lam Tin belongs to Primary School Net 48, which includes Our Lady of China Catholic Primary School, Lam Tin Methodist Primary School and SKH Tak Tin Lee Shiu Keung Primary School. Its Secondary School Net belongs to Kwun Tong District, with St. Paul's School (Lam Tin), Leung Shek Chee College and FDBWA Szeto Ho Secondary School. Opened in 2014, Nord Anglia International School on On Tin Street is the first international school in Lam Tin while Shrewsbury International School Hong Kong (Tseung Kwan O) and Kellett School (Kowloon Bay) are in the vicinity.
