Flexible living brand by SHKP opens a new property in Soho, Central.

Flexibility and mobility are two increasingly important factors when it comes to finding a place to live. This is especially true for a relatively transient city like Hong Kong where many young (and experienced) professionals are seeking to set foot in an ever changing city. Enter TOWNPLACE, Sun Hung Kai Properties’ (SHKP) new residential leasing brand offering flexi-leasing apartments personalised for every type of stay.

With a wealth of experience behind the property giant, SHKP ‘recognises the new way of living for modern day millennials, and their preference for flexibility with personalised options.’ While TOWNPLACE values this change, it also strives to ‘create an ‘OWN’ lifestyle, beyond a simple residential living experience.’ In line with this line of thinking, SHKP launched TOWNPLACE KENNEDY TOWN, the first TOWNPLACE property, in 2018 which sits in the Western District of Hong Kong Island and is just three-minutes walk from the MTR station and minutes away from other parts of the city.

Riding on the success of TOWNPLACE KENNEDY TOWN’S, TOWNPLACE SOHO is its second property, which is set to be available for lease in phases in Q1 and Q2 in 2020. It offers unprecedented living experiences on 18 Caine Road, just above Hong Kong’s CBD and a short walk away from its breadth of entertainment options.

The new property takes and enhances the flexi-leasing model by lowering the minimum leasing term to just one month, making it an exceptional fit for short-term residents; and those looking for longer stays will be able to take advantage of the yearly leasing plans. Residents of TOWNPLACE SOHO will have three options to choose from which includes serviced apartments, furnished apartments and unfurnished apartments. All the options give residents a wide range of choices with plenty of flexibility.

With show flats currently open for viewing, TOWNPLACE SOHO has 293 residential apartments available. The property’s apartments range from studios to fourbedroom configurations, measuring 286 to 1,092 square feet. Each apartment is finished in a contemporary style with amples of storage space, but residents can choose from two different furnishing flavours: 'Minimalistic Harmony' featuring Francfranc furnishings for those that are fond of a more simple and elegant style; and 'Sophisticated Sense' featuring Stellar Works furnishings if a stylish interior with more European aesthetics is preferred.

Some apartments at both properties have fully-kitted kitchens which include refrigerator, induction cooker, wine cooler and steam oven while the bathroom comes with a rainshower and is fitted with a Bluetooth bathroom speaker. Residents who opt for the serviced apartment option at TOWNPLACE SOHO will find their apartments fitted with Marshall speakers, hotel-class mattresses and bedding, stylish kitchen utensils and small appliances— all to ensure a comfortable and quality stay. The views from TOWNPLACE SOHO apartments rivals those from the Kennedy Town property, with stunning harbour and city views of Central district, to the spectacular view of the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens of the east-facing units. The balcony and full height windows in all apartments bring the scenery right into the living area.

Within this property, they have catered three floors with various zones for all-round leisure and work amenities. The design here focus on connections between people and the environment, inviting nature through an entrance garden and a rooftop wellness terrace. TOWNPLACE have made the unique decision to combine resident access to the Duo Social Space available at both properties; residents are able to enjoy the communal spaces and diversified amenities of both living places which totals to nearly 30,000 square feet, boosting residents’ living space exponentially. In addition, dedicated and purpose-built clubhouse, Club CIRCO, at its Kennedy Town property is shared across its SOHO property. Club CIRCO is one of the tallest clubhouses on Hong Kong Island, spanning across five floors, with some levels dedicated to different work and leisure purposes, including a 24hour gym, landscaped park, sauna and steam room, sundeck, barbecue terrace and multipurpose and event spaces, which all overlooks panoramic harbour views.

Echoing the brand’s desire to connect residents, there will be a dedicated Community Team organising social and networking events to foster a strong community in the living space. Residents are able to sign up and join different activities simply through the TOWNPLACE mobile app.
