Spotless service has come to be expected across the slew of firstclass restaurants housed within the historic five-star Grand Hyatt; but Grissini, the award-winning Italian restaurant wows with its team of knowledgeable, eagle-eyed and enthusiastic staff that goes the extra mile to ensure guests’ every whim is taken care of. In fact, there is much about Grissini that elicit a sigh of awe: from the dramatic floor-to-ceiling views of the Victoria Harbour skyline to the freshly-baked, namesake fluffy breadsticks that make saving room for the meal a challenge. The menu serves up a mix of traditional Italian favourites and innovative creations including the smokey la parmigiana di melanzane (eggplant parmesan), the gli gnocchi (homemade gnocchi served with fresh Mediterranean seafood and pecorino cheese) and the il tenero di manzo (beef tenderloin served with a celeriac cream and beetroot purée).

The tangy tartufo al pistacchio (pistachio raspberry tartufo) ends the feast on a well-balanced note. There is little to fault except for a reminder to bring a jacket to stave off the blasting air-conditioning— but why not just warm up with another bottle from its impressive two-storey wine cellar?
