Situated 101 floors up Hong Kong’s tallest building, Inakaya delivers a truly unique and memorable dining experience. From the unparalleled backdrop of the city skyline, to the traditional setup of the robatayaki room and the orders being shouted in Japanese, you’re in for quite the experience. But it’s more than just the ambience; the dishes grilled to perfection most definitely does not disappoint. Start off with your selection of vegetables—each grilled with care and complemented with a ginger dip. Move on to the Miyazaki tenderloin beef, and to say simply that it’s tender does it a great deal of disservice. If beef is off your diet, then the kinki fish flown direct from Hokkaido is an ideal substitute – which despite a 40-minute grilling time, manages to retain all the fat, juice and sweetness the fish is known for. And through it all, you have a staff that is every bit sincere in giving you an unforgettable night. They are patient to first-timers in a robatayaki and will guide you through the process. And you don’t need to worry about smelling like smoke after the meal; ventilation is great that even after a two-hour meal next to the open grill.
