For a restaurant that pays homage to the past, The Legacy House unexpectedly looks and feels contemporary and geared towards younger guests, with ambient lighting and clubby beats. This dissonance subsides when flicking through the menu and it becomes clear that the tribute to New World Development’s founder Dr Cheng Yu-tung comes through the dishes, many of which stem from his hometown of Shunde, such as stirfried fish noodles and wok-fried milk. The menu features a wide variety of dried and fresh seafood dishes, as well as crowd-pleasers from further afield, including roasted Peking duck, served two ways.
