With so many trendy restau­rants pop­ping up around Hong Kong, Brasserie on the Eighth of­fers a re­fresh­ingly clas­sic din­ing ex­pe­ri­ence that isn’t tired or old fash­ioned—from its beige, art deco in­te­ri­ors to its de­pend­able menu fea­tur­ing clas­sic French and Euro­pean fare. Ap­pe­tis­ers in­clude es­car­got in herb but­ter, foie gras three ways and their sig­na­ture lob­ster bisque. For mains, fresh seafood in­clud­ing oys­ters shucked to or­der,a stel­lar se­lec­tion of shell­fish and their sig­na­ture line-caught French seabass. For those in the mood to in­dulge, Brasserie on the Eighth of­fers a small but sump­tu­ous menu of meats, such as their “Rossini style” beef ten­der­loin with truf­fle sauce and a sin­fully de­light­ful twice-cooked Ibe­rian suck­ling pig.
