Floor-to-ceiling murals of palm trees and gorillas, wooden panels and mood lights complete the decor of Mango Tree Cafe. The menu is a mix of Thai favourites like tom yum goong and crispy catfish and pomelo salad, and Western selections, like pizza and pasta, but with a distinct Thai flair, such as pad thai pizza, and spaghetti with basil and spicy minced pork. A great starter to go for is the lemongrass calamari rings, which packs a flavourful punch with the combination of spiced salt, fresh lime and wasabi tartar.

For the main dish, the fragrant five-spice crispy chicken is recommended: tender chicken meat enveloped in crispy charcoal-grilled skin, with the tangy combination of lemongrass, garlic and kaffir lime, and served with prawn crackers. Most of the desserts are served in short glass tumblers, so they’re not overwhelming. The mango sticky rice has fresh mango on top of black sticky rice ice cream and sticky rice with glutinous balls, having just the right amount of sweetness complemented by the milky red bean-flavoured ice cream.
